Perspective
by Peter J. Santos
When time seems to take too long
And everything you do is all wrong.
When it seem there's nowhere to turn
And you can feel your spirit burn.
When it seems there's no relief in sight
And nothing is turning out right.
When your world is crumbling around you
And you have no idea what to do.
When you can feel an impending doom
And your life is suspended in gloom.
When you wanna cry but the tears won't come
An you feel so helpless, stupid, and dumb.
When your worst frears all become real
And all your pains refuse to heal.
When the world seems so lifeless and cold
And you feel you can't believe anything you're told
When everything seems so evil and bad
An you're so fustrated, angry, and mad.
When it seems everyone wants to take and not give
An you no longer know why you live.
When you want to fight and scream and yell
An it seems like you're stuck in hell
When you can't recall when you last laughed or smiled
And it seems your life has gone completely wild
When you feel you're so out of control
And you can't feel your mind, body, or soul.
When you feel like you just want to quit
And you're stuck in a bottomless pit
Just remember Jesus Christ, Our Savior
And then take a look at your behavior.
Remember his ultimate sacrifice, the pain he didn't have to endure
Now don't you think you're being a bit selfish?
WHY SURE!
